Solidarity Message to AICE Workers from Spirit of Eureka, Australia

Dear Friends,

The South Australian Committee of the Spirit of Eureka expresses its solidarity with, and support for, the 600 workers of the Aice Ice Cream factory in West Java.

The Eureka Rebellion of 1854 was an armed rebellion by Australian and immigrant miners against the British colonial authorities.  The armed workers swore the following oath: “We swear by the Southern Cross to stand truly by each other and fight to defend our right and liberties!”

We are convinced that the Aice workers will defeat the anti-women personnel policies of the Aice management if they stand truly by each other and fight to defend their rights and liberties.

In solidarity,

SA Committee, Spirit of Eureka
